The Business Office

The Business Office is responsible for both in-patient and out-patient registration through the admissions department. Obtaining accurate information from the patient including personal information and insurance information is very important.

Once the services have been provided, the business office staff will review and post all the charges to the patient's account.

As a courtesy to our patients, Swisher Memorial Hospital files all insurance claims including Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance. The business office staff is also responsible for collecting on accounts if the insurance does not cover all charges.

Accounting is an important function of the Business Office. Accounts payable processes payments to vendors and preforms the bi-weekly payroll. The accounting department also reports financial information to administration and the board of directors.
